About this project

Brief

A cottage country wedding is a full day outdoors, in light that changes hour to hour, at a venue that is usually somebody's family property rather than a room built for weddings.

Approach

Documentary through the day, with a short break for portraits when the light is worth it. The ceremony and the speeches are covered without interrupting them, and the portraits are made quickly so nobody spends their own wedding being posed. One person moving quietly around a dock is invisible in a way a crew is not.
