Toronto and the GTA

Video production in Toronto

Rosa Park Visuals produces corporate and documentary-style video for organizations across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area: brand films, interviews, event coverage, website video and mini documentaries, filmed and edited by one person.

Most projects run two to six weeks from the first call to final delivery, and every quote lists the deliverables before anything is filmed.

Who this is for

Industries and use cases

The common thread across this work is explanation: an organization that has something specific to say and needs a person on screen to say it well.

  • Healthcare and mental health

Practitioner profiles, clinic films and educational video for practices where the buyer is choosing a person to trust rather than a product to buy.

  • Research and non-profit

Programme films, funder communication and documentary shorts that explain specialised work to people outside the field.

  • Technology and software

Product explainers, subject-matter expert interviews and question-and-answer formats built to be recut into shorter pieces.

  • Financial and professional services

Educational video, executive messaging and internal communication for organizations that have to be precise about what they say.

  • Events and cultural organizations

Show coverage, highlight films and speaker recordings for conferences, trade shows and cultural programmes.

  • Small and owner-led businesses

Website video, about films and social content for businesses where the owner is the reason people get in touch.

Production process

How a video project runs

  1. 01

    Scope and quote

A call about what the piece has to do and where it will be published, then a written quote listing deliverables, revision rounds and formats.

  2. 02

    Pre-production

Questions agreed or a script approved, locations and access confirmed, people scheduled, and a shot list built from the outline.

  3. 03

    Filming

One filming day covers most single-location pieces. Interviews are lit and miked properly, with two to three hours allowed per subject.

  4. 04

    Edit and delivery

A rough cut for notes, two rounds of revisions, then colour, sound, captions and delivery in the sizes each platform needs.

What you receive

Deliverables and editing options

Every quote lists exactly what arrives at the end. These are the standard inclusions across corporate, interview and website video work.

  • A finished master file in the resolution the project was shot at
  • Versions sized for the platforms you publish on
  • Vertical cutdowns for social, quoted alongside the main piece
  • A subtitle file, plus burned-in captions where you need them
  • A poster frame for embedding the video on a website
  • Licensed music, with the licence confirmed in writing on delivery
  • Colour grading and a mixed audio track on every finished piece
  • Archived project footage, so pieces can be recut later without filming again

  • Working with Rosa to create a video for my website was a delight. She is responsive, creative, and collaborative. She helped me feel comfortable throughout the filming process while beautifully capturing my essence. Choosing a therapist based solely on a written bio can feel challenging. I believe that having a professional-quality video on my website improves accessibility and helps build rapport with prospective clients. Since re-doing my website and adding a video, I noticed much more client outreach. My caseload is full, and I have a waitlist. I will absolutely reach out to Rosa again in the future to create more content for my business, she is amazing!

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does a video cost in Toronto?

Cost depends on how many filming days are needed, how many locations are involved, how much editing the finished piece requires and how many versions you need at the end. A single-location interview piece sits at the lower end. A multi-location documentary film with original music and sound design sits at the higher end. Tell us the piece you have in mind and you will get a written quote with the deliverables listed.

How long does a video project take?

Two to six weeks is typical from the first call to final delivery. Roughly one week goes to planning and scheduling, one filming day for most pieces, and one to three weeks for editing and revisions. Event highlight films and social cutdowns can be turned around faster when the schedule needs it.

Do you travel outside Toronto?

Yes. Filming across the GTA is standard. Days further afield are quoted with travel included so there is no surprise on the invoice.

Who is on set for a filming day?

Rosa films most projects herself, which keeps a room calm and keeps costs down. Larger shoots that need a second camera, a dedicated sound recordist or additional lighting are crewed up and quoted that way.

Do you write the script?

For interview-led pieces there is no script. We agree the questions in advance and shape the piece in the edit. For explainers and narrated video, a script is written and approved before anything is filmed.

What do we get at the end?

A finished master file, versions sized for the places you are publishing, a caption or subtitle file, and a poster frame for embedding on a website. Vertical cuts for social are quoted alongside the main piece.
