Cottage interiors for a lakefront listing

Location
Cottage country, Ontario

About this project

Brief

Waterfront interiors have one hard technical problem: the room is several stops darker than the water outside it. Expose for the room and the windows go white, throwing away the reason the property is worth what it is.

Approach

Every frame is balanced so the view holds. Rooms are shot from the corner that shows the space and the windows together, ceilings kept straight, and the light left looking like the light in the room rather than flattened by a flash.

Deliverables

  • Interior photograph set, exposure and window balanced
  • Wide room frames plus detail coverage
  • MLS, web, social and print sizes
  • 24 to 48 hour delivery
  • Cottage dining room with a long table, pine ceiling and low sun coming off the lake through full-height windows
  • Open cottage great room with a stone fireplace, exposed beams and a wall of windows facing the water
  • Modern cottage living room with a teal sofa beneath a tall vaulted window looking into pines
